Lisa B. Ferguson, CPA-Managing Partner
Lisa Ferguson has been a business manager for over 33 years. She started with a small firm, Neal Levin and Company. She was first retained as an account manager handling one large client. Within one year she had 23 accounts and two assistants.
Due to that experience, she brings a unique prospective to business management as she has worked as a bookkeeper, account manager, tax preparer and business manager. This knowledge allows her to be very informative to her staff and she s involved in the training and implementation of procedures.
Neal Levin retired at the end of 2002. Lisa purchased the practice from Mr. Levin in 2002 and began Premier Business Management Group, LLP in 2003. There was no transition needed as all the clients had worked extensively with Lisa and followed her to her new firm.
Lisa has a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. She graduated with a 3.95 GPA. Lisa initially attended California State University at Northridge and then finished up her degree at the University of Phoenix (yes, she is a “Phoenix”).
She has been a licensed, practicing CPA since 2000 and has appeared in Who’s Who and Who’s Who for women in business along with other accolades.
Additionally, she co-wrote an article in 1985 for “This Business of Music” detailing the process of obtaining performance royalties for “jingle” writers from the various performing rights societies.
Lisa is married and has two grown children.
Alan S. “Beau” Halfon, CPA-Partner
Beau Halfon graduated from UCLA in June 1971 and received an MBA at USC in June 1972. He received his CPA license in 1974.
After obtaining his license, he eventually settled down with the firm of Park Adams & Palmer in 1978. Beau quickly became a partner and left the firm, as a partner, in 1983.
Beau specializes in the music business working with touring, recording artists and music producers. He owned his own firm until he partnered with Lisa Ferguson in 2003.
Beau is married and has two grown children.
